Priscilla Masala is a young girl with a big voice. She has buckets of attitude and an array of very catchy songs which I am positive people will be singing along to in the months and years to come. Priscilla has put in a lot of hard work to go along with her talent and has the image and sound to go far in the music industry.

When did you know that music was something that you wanted to pursue?

From a very young age music and singing was something that was apart of my life, it was non stop. I come from a musical family so they keep me in that zone which I love! With their support I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.

How would you best describe yourself and your music?

I would describe myself original and my music realistic, not only can I relate to real issues but so can other people and what I sing about in my music is exactly what I feel and think about that are true things coming from myself.

What tracks of yours should we be looking out for?

Currently I am in the process of writing some new songs that will soon be available to listen to on my music Myspace where I keep everything updated, but in the mean time I have some previous songs I've recorded recently up on there.

How hard has it been to get where you are today?

It has been quite hard getting where I am today, having to go through the first steps like performing for the first time in front of people, getting yourself out there and dealing with nerves. You don't know what to expect when people hear your talent for the first time, they either say something good or bad, having to put up with the bad criticism sometimes hurts and you wonder why they want to put you down and tear you apart when your doing something good but staying humble and being yourself gets you through all of that.

What sacrifices have you had to make?

I've had to sacrifice mainly my time, being dedicated means giving up some of your time to do this. Money also could be spent on important and useful things, this goes towards equipment and things to rehearse on. Trust and friends is my third main sacrifice you start to lose trust in friends when they start acting different then they were before or they have let you down and broken your heart and said or done things they think you wouldn't find out.

When was you first gig?

My first gig was in school, in front of students and friends also teachers! I was shy student and everyone knew me as the shy little girl and to be able to go up there and show people what I can do, really changed there views on me.

What has been the highlight of your musical career so far?

My Highlight would have to be doing a competition show in my secondary school with a larger audience called X factor (Rising Stars) which I came second. My family and friends were all there, it was so magical because people where supporting and to have that is the best feeling in the world!

What are your ambitions for the coming year?

My ambition would be to get a record deal and to perform at even bigger events!

Where can we see you perform in the near future?

No events have been added at the moment but keep up to date on my Myspace for date details for my next performances.
